Check locally; some schools in the District and the Black River Action Team collect cell phones as a fundraiser.
Cell phones can also be reused or recycled through national programs. Several programs give a percentage of the proceeds to charities.
Or bring them in to one of these area locations:
  • Verizon HopeLine, Verizon Wireless retail stores, 1-800-426-2790
  • Retailers and District transfer stations that participate in the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (RBRC) program.
