Worn/torn - doesn't matter; bring clean and dry blankets to a SEVCA store directly They'll sell the good ones and recycle the rest.
Or bring them to your transfer station - Cavendish, Ludlow, Plymouth, Rockingham, and Weathersfield all have textile sheds that accept the following (as does Springfield's Second Chance Shop):
Bagged, Clean and Dry Clothing: all types, including ripped, stained, and out-of-fashion
Shoes - bagged separately from clothing
Bagged, Clean and Dry Linens: blankets, sheets, towels, curtains (including ripped or stained)
Belts, Purses, Hats, Mittens, Coats, Socks
Stuffed Animals
Southeastern Vermont Community Action (SEVCA) services these sheds. The materials will be sold and the profits used to fund community programs in our area.
