The last collections for 2009 were held on September 12 at the Springfield and Weathersfield Transfer Stations. One hundred and twenty-one residents participated at the former and eighty-six at the latter site. Additionally, four businesses brought in hazardous materials and paid for their disposal. The District's next household hazardous waste collections will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the Rockingham and Springfield Transfer Stations and on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Springfield and Weathersfield Transfer Stations.
